Charity Masquerade Ball

John Watt is holding a charity Masquerade ball for his 21st Birthday at the Davron Hotel, Rosehearty in aid of Cancer Research UK, The Brain Tumour Charity & Home-Start North Ease Aberdeenshire.  The event starts at 7pm for 7.30pm for a set three course meal.  Bob Stephen Photography will take photos on arrival to go on facebook, Photoshoot Photobooth and live music bu Locked’n’Loaded.  Tickets are £40.00 per person including the above.

John requests no presents, but raffle prizes will be accepted.

Charity dance – Ban Car Hotel

The Ban Car Hotel will host a charity dance in aid of Friends of Anchor on Saturday, February 25th.

Opera Highlights

We’re hitting the road this February on a whistle-stop tour around the country to bring you a musical mix of opera highlights. Our bags are packed and bursting with colourful costumes and props to brighten those winter nights. Jump aboard and enjoy an entertaining night-out, filled with energy, versatility and plenty of humour.

Whether you’re new to opera or a seasoned fan, there’s sure to be something for you, be it a tune you’re discovering for the first time or an old favourite you’ll be humming all the way home.

This year’s cast is full of fresh new talent, including two Scottish Opera Emerging Artists and two recent graduates of the National Opera Studio. Former Emerging Artist repetiteur Jonathon Swinard returns to the piano and current Emerging Artist director Jim Manganello is at the helm.

Join them as they set off on an unforgettable journey featuring music by Mozart, Handel, Puccini, Gilbert & Sullivan and many more.

Green Suitcase – Jazz

An electric range of music with a jazz and blues influence.

Green Suitcase is a Band fronted by Justin and Carole Brook that play an eclectic range of music with a jazz and blues influence from Ella Fitzgerald to Bill Withers; Duke Ellington to Nora Jones as well as Justin’s own compositions.

Swing, Latin and Funk are all to be heard at a Green Suitcase performance.
