Café Connect can be found on Broad Street nestled in amongst the hustle and bustle of Fraserburgh’s town centre. Whether you want to pop in past to pick up something nice for lunch or to surf the internet the café is the perfect environment to do so.

The café came about when it was identified by a local voluntary organisation, Fraserburgh Community Web, that there was a need in the area for employment and personal development opportunities for adults with disabilities in an environment integrated into the community. The project had aspirations to act as a ‘stepping stone’ for individuals who could then progress into employment in the private and public sectors. In April 2010, Café Connect opened its doors and has been an increasingly important part of the community ever since.

In addition to the food offering the café provides wireless access to the internet through five public computers, as well as a range of business services including printing, laminating, small design jobs such as posters, business cards or invitations and the scanning, copying and restoration of old photographs

Finally, the café is the home of this very website which is central to the project’s desire to benefit Fraserburgh and its community in undertaking physical regeneration, promoting cultural enterprise, tackling economic and social disadvantage, making a commitment to learning and development, and helping to ensure that the local area is attractive and vibrant with a positive image and reputation.
