Cafe to close for refurbishment – Mintlaw’s Aden Country Park
Oct 30 2016 @ 8:00 am – Feb 26 2017 @ 9:00 am

A popular North-east cafe will be taking a temporary break this winter.

The cafe at Aden, located inside Mintlaw’s Aden Country Park, will close at the end of the month in order to allow some renovation work to take place.

We have been looking to install new windows into the building for some time now and we hope we will manage to get them fixed during this four month closure.

We’ll be open for the Aden-deen Parade on Friday, October 28th and the Christmas Fayre on Sunday, December 4th, but will be focusing the rest of our efforts over the winter months into improving the cafe. The cafe will close on Sunday, October 30th and will reopen in February 2017.

Our bags are packed and bursting with colourful costumes and props to brighten those winter nights. Jump aboard and enjoy an entertaining night-out, filled with energy, versatility and plenty of humour.

Whether you’re new to opera or a seasoned fan, there’s sure to be something for you, be it a tune you’re discovering for the first time or an old favourite you’ll be humming all the way home.

“Even my non-opera-loving husband enjoyed the evening! It was a treat for those of us who live so far away from large theatres to appreciate such a well-produced evening.” Audience member, 2016

This year’s cast is full of fresh new talent, including two Scottish Opera Emerging Artists and two recent graduates of the National Opera Studio. Former Emerging Artist repetiteur Jonathon Swinard returns to the piano and current Emerging Artist director Jim Manganello is at the helm.
