Attention all Whisky lovers. ![]()
We are delighted to welcome Lindores Abbey distillery to the Fraserburgh Lighthouse Museum, Thursday 23rd June, where we will be joined by brand ambassador Murray Stevenson.
Lindores Abbey in Fife is said to be ‘The Spiritual Home of Scotch Whisky’.
Distilling was taking place on this site as early as 1494, and we know this because of the earliest written reference to scotch Whisky (Or Aqua Vitae, as it was then known), which appears in the Exchequer roll of the same year.
On the night we will take our journey back to the beginning of whisky, as we kick off with some Aqua Vitae, and we work our way through Lindores Abbey’s ever growing range.
Line up will include:
Aqua Vitae and Ginger Ale welcome drink.
Lindores New Make Spirit 63.5% ABV
Lindores MCDXIV (1494) Whiskey 46% ABV
The casks of Lindores, Bourbon Casks 49.4% ABV
The Casks of Lindores, STR Wine Barriques 49.4% ABV
Distillery Exclusive Sherry Butt Single Cask 60% ABV
